We are pleased to say that more than 90 applications were received for the Captain’s positions. The screening process has reduced this number to 42 individuals who will be allowed to compete for the 7 remaining Captain’s positions.
The interview process for these applicants will begin during the second week of January. The Human Resources Department will notify all applicants of their status.

Can you please tell us a bit more about the detective slots? None of the ads address detective salary ranges, "normal" work schedules, crimes to be investigated (just general crimes? or all crimes?), etc.. Thank you very much for your time.
I have another interesting question. Let's say you have a candidate who has been a detective for 5 or 10 years, with vast experience. Could this candidate be eligible for hire as a detective-sergeant? Will such a position exist?
